New incorporation timelines have started the year slower than normal, mainly due to continuing high volumes. As we mentioned last month, incorporations in 2025 set a new record with 26,352 new companies formed. On average over the past few months, the CRO have been taking around 6 working days to incorporate. Pre-covid this was on average 2-3 working days, which was quicker than their official 5 working day SLA. Some IT issues are persisting, and there have been delays in the issuing of valid Certificates of Incorporation due to digital signature verification problems.
As we mentioned last year, the CRO are ramping up enforcement by issuing strike-off notices to companies that have not filed returns in a number of years. We are happy to advise you or your clients on the available options on a case-by-case basis. Contact us online today!
